Every man needs a good and durable credit card wallet. By our estimation, there are two types – the higher end luxury leather credit wallet that holds credit cards only and your average wallet that has several credit card slots. Although we know the general male population uses a standard wallet, we tried to highlight a mix of both.
Okay, a few disclaimers. Being a site on leather luggage, we are obviously partial to leather products, so we only scoured for leather made credit card wallets. Also, wallet preference is fairly subjective (e.g. color and size), so we relied on our preferences in conjunction with online review popularity. Having seen hundreds of credit card wallets, we think we know what men like and dislike.
Geoffrey Been Credit Card Wallet
The first is one of our personal favorites and is also very favorably reviewed throughout the web – Geoffrey Beene Men’s Mirage Slim Passcase Wallet. Made of soft lambskin, it has seven credit card slots as well as an ID window and bill holder. It is a more portable leather wallet but can carry quite a bit – the only drawback is that you don’t want to overload it with bills. The leather feels luxurious and is of good quality. With an online price under $20, this is a great combination of practicality, style, and value.
Slimmy Credit Card Wallet
The next one is for the minimalist user – the Koyono Slimmy Credit Card Wallet (front wallet alternative). While it is advertised as a wallet alternative, we feel this is more of a pure credit card wallet and can comfortably hold between 5-7 cards. It will hold some bills, but not many. That said, this is a pretty sleek leather wallet, something you could show off to friends. It fits easily in your front pocket and is very light with no bulkiness. It is made of high quality full grain leather, so durability is not an issue. Definitely not for everyone, but people who buy it love it so much we had to throw it out here. It should be available for under $40 online.
Tumi Credit Card Wallet
The last one we wanted to share was the classic high end breast credit card wallet – the Tumi Monaco Zip Travel Wallet. Definitely a luxury wallet, it is made of full grain leather with plenty of pockets as you can see from the photo. This is for our readers with higher end tastes – you’ll pay over $200 for this credit card wallet but you will feel the quality! One note about these – despite the prices they are hard to come by so you may need to try various retailers.
As you probably noticed, we favor wallets made of high quality top grain or full grain leather and avoid genuine leather where possible (there are a ton of those on the market for a fraction of the cost). We also chose not to cover the newer, gimmicky credit card cases you see offered from Brookstone or other specialty retailers. They can be great as well but for the majority of our users, the three leather credit card wallets profiled above “fit the bill”. We hope you love one of them!
